Everyone taught, RRR movie would change the fate of tollywood when the announcement was made as Jr NTR and Ram Charan were coming together. Whole TFI was taken by surprise with this combo. The fact is both come from rival families and with different statures. But everyone trusted Rajamouli that he would do equal justice to both the fandoms.
Rajamouli is known for not deviating from his story and characters based on star powers. Jr NTR is known for performance who will give anything for the character he plays. Unfortunately, Jr NTR had to pay a higher cost for RRR, his stature and stardom. Right from the promotions and pre release events Jr NTR carried the movie on his shoulders.
But after the release, PR team of Ram Charan planned anti campaign against Jr NTR. At a press meet Jr NTR had to face the peak humiliation from pro mega journalist Lipika. But all these paid activities cant last for long enough. Once RRR got recognition from western audience, the story changed. Jr NTR became the man of lime light. Western audience went gaga over Komaram Bheem.

Almost every english magazine made Jr NTR the face of RRR movie. He was featured in the several prestigious magazines and dailies of USA. Jr NTR was even considered for an oscar nomination. As an icing on top of the cake, Jr NTR was featured in the background when MM Keeravani and Chandrabose received Oscar. Now, it felt like Jr NTR has got what he deserved.
Until recently all was okay, but when SS Rajamouli’s father and story writer of RRR, Vijeyandra Prasad made a loose talk. He used the term NTR’s Komaram Bheem character in RRR was a supporting role. This brought back all the discussions back.
SS Rajamouli and his family should behave responsibly. When an actor of NTR stature has spent 4 years of his peak career for a multi starrer, just like that they can’t belittle all the hard-work. Such loose mouths will only ensure that there wont be any multi starrers in the future.
Jr NTR had his last solo release, Blockbuster Aravindha Sametha, in 2018. In the mean time Ram Charan released Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which turned out to be all time disaster. Then he starred in another multi starrer Acharya, which is an even bigger disaster. He even made a cameo appearance alongside of Salman Khan kiso ka Bhaai, Kiso ki Jaan, which went unnoticed.
Probably this should answer Vijayendra Prasad who played the supporting role and who was instrumental in the RRR movie success. May be if Jr NTR had not spent 4 years on a half baked product like RRR movie, he would have released at least three good movies in this span.
